Privacy Policy

In a Meeting (“we”, “us”, the “Service”), available at inameeting.app, automatically updates your Slack status when you join or leave a Zoom meeting. This policy explains exactly what data we handle, why, and what we never touch.
The short version: we store the minimum needed to match your Zoom identity to your Slack account and update your status. We never see your Slack messages, your meeting audio or video, or meeting content of any kind. We don't sell data, run ads, or use trackers.
What we collect
- Slack account details — when you connect Slack we receive your Slack user ID, team (workspace) ID, and an OAuth token scoped only to update your own status and profile presence.
- Zoom identity — the email address and/or display name you use in Zoom, so we can tell your join/leave events apart from other participants'.
- Meeting events — Zoom sends us webhook events when a meeting starts or ends and when participants join or leave. These events include the meeting topic and participant identifiers. We process them in the moment and do not keep a history of your meetings.
- Operational logs — short-lived technical logs (request paths, timestamps, error messages) used to keep the Service running. Logs are retained briefly by our infrastructure provider and then discarded.
What we never access
- Your Slack messages, channels, files, or anyone else's profile.
- Your meeting audio, video, chat, recordings, or transcripts.
- Your calendar, contacts, or any data beyond the events listed above.
How we use your data
We use the data above for exactly one purpose: setting your Slack status when your meeting starts and clearing it when it ends. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing, and we do not use it to train models or build profiles.
Where your data lives
The Service runs on Cloudflare Workers, and your account record (Slack token, Slack IDs, and Zoom identity) is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV. How long we keep it
Your account record is kept for as long as you use the Service. Meeting events are processed transiently and are not stored. If you disconnect the Service, the stored record becomes unusable and is removed.
Deleting your data
- Revoke access — remove the app from your Slack workspace settings and/or your Zoom account. We immediately stop receiving events and can no longer update your status.
- Full deletion — email us at hamza@beta.limited and we will delete your stored record within 30 days.
Security
OAuth tokens are stored server-side and are never exposed to the browser. All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS, and Zoom webhook requests are verified with signed secrets before being processed.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
